At 8:00 AM, your The Neter Code tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and take you to the Giza Plateau. Explore the three magnificent pyramids of the Ancient Egyptians—Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure—then visit the iconic Sphinx (Abu el-Hol) and the Valley Temple of Chephren. The Great Pyramid of Cheops is the only surviving wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Next, visit the recently inaugurated National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Fustat, the first Egyptian capital after the Arab Islamic conquest. Overlooking Lake Ain El-Sira, the museum features chronological collections spanning the Archaic, Ancient Egyptian, Greco-Roman, Coptic, Medieval, Islamic, modern, and contemporary eras. Its thematic sections explore the Dawn of Civilization, the Nile, writing, state and society, material culture, beliefs, and the Mysterious Gallery of Royal Mummies recently transferred from the Old Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square. Finally, visit the Citadel of Saladin Al-Ayouby near Mokattam Hill, built in the 12th century to defend Cairo against Crusader campaigns and later used as the ruling center of medieval Egypt. Inside the Citadel courtyard, explore the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha, a landmark of Cairo known for its grand domes, minarets, and ornate interiors. After this unforgettable day, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
